Rotten Stub and bottom plate against exterior wall

I am working on my foreclosure house, in the kitchen there are two studs (about 16" apart) that were rotten at the bottom for 4", the bottom plate is somewhat rotten as well, the sill underneath and subfloor were completely rotten. I replaced the sill with 2 pieces of PT 2 by 8, and sistered the bad joists with 2 by 8 and hung them to the new sill.

I plan to cut the rotten stud (about 4") and replace with new 2 by 4, and cut the bottom plate in section, and repalce once I put in new plywood subfloor. How do I reattach the exterial wall to the new stud? It has asbestos siding on it, then the sheathing and t-paper.

If I understand this, you're replacing the bottom 4" of the stud and sistering a new stud next to it. I'd nail the 2 studs together and use construction adhesive to attach it to the sheathing.; You're only actually dealing with a 4" piece.

Thanks Ron. I actually contacted the State the next day, and was told the permit for asbestos siding dump is free of charge, and the dump yard told me they can take it by less than $40 per cubit yard, so I am going to remove all of those sidings and replace bad sheathing and vinyl sidings.
