replacing windows

When I measure a casement window for replacement, what is the best way to measure it? I measured the window from the outside and it measured: 60 inches h x 28.5 inches wide. This was trim to trim from the outside since this is an andersen window. Is this correct?

To get the units actual size, measure the glass and look at the Andersen spec book for the model. They list all the window units this way.
