Replacing rotten wood fascia with PVC - 15 guage nails okay?

I've got a 15 guage cordless finishing nailer. Is it okay to use 15 guage nails on my fascia boards (which will be PVC or similar)?

If not, what nails do I need to use?

I'd use an 8D ring shanked nail to hold it up.
