Replacing Doors

This may be a silly question to experienced DIYers...... we want to replace a the door which leads out into the garden - we only want to replace it with a four panel door (currently has a nasty glass insert)... we have had a lot of trouble finding a hardwood door to fit, however we can quite easily find a 'pine internal' door which will fit. Are these suitable? If they are properly painted I guess this will seal it against the weather, but are there any other reasons why a pine door wouldn't be suitable...

thanks:confused:

Replacing Doors

The pine doors are not insulated which will lead to energy losses. Also there would be a security risk, it wouldn't be to hard to get through an interior door if someone was so inclined.

Replacing Doors

I highly recommend a steel insulated door with a deadbolt for any exterior door.
Just shop around. They're all over the place.
Good Luck!
