Replacing closet organizer

I'm replacing a closet organizer with closet shelves and I was wondering.....

What is the best way to take out these things?

Replacing closet organizer

Pull the nails out if you can--that will release the ears behind the wall--then wiggle the brackets out of the drywall.

Replacing closet organizer

A pair of regular pliers with groves on the jaws should be able to grip the nails.

Pliers did the trick. It was able to pull out the nails and / or wiggle the brackets out of the drywall. Thanks everyone.
