Replacement window sill

1 Attachment(s)
Replaced old casing. Sill broke off. Would like a 2-3" new sill. Looking for ideas on how to secure a new sill and possibly some design ideas for moulding below the sill. Will stock pine 1x with a bullnose edge be sufficient?

The underside of the sill needs to be sloped to match the window slope, usually 7 or 14 deg. These are available at most lumberyards and home stores in a variety of widths. Or you can always trim a wide one to fit your needs.

But making one from scratch is always an option.
