Replaced section of subfloor but it's 1/16" higher. Is that a prob?

The people who lived in my house before me had water leaking around the tub & toilet and the floor & subfloor rotted. I removed the tub & toilet and the floor, then ripped out the rotted subfloor down to the joists in those areas and replaced it with plywood... however the plywood is sticking up about 1/16" higher than the rest of the subfloor (my houses original subfloor is all planks).

I plan on covering the subfloor with a 1/2" layer of plywood (it may need to be 5/8") and put laminate on top of that. Do you think around the toilet & tub where the subfloor is 1/16" higher will eventually "bulge" the plywood above it and be noticeable? What should I do? Thanks

roofing shingles or thinset?
you MIGHT see a bulge in the future, but i doubt it.
