removing support post on deck that was to be used to support hot tub
deck is 12 x 25 with 6 x 6 posts 12 ft off ground builder put a post for extra support 6ft. in from side with support beam for a hot tub.We do not have a tub .post is in our way.I would like to remove it Ther are 4 posts across front with 2 posts on one sid and 1 post on the other side.Stringers are 2x10 16inches apart diag.to home.All posts are bolted as well as bolted thru sill plate to house.There are joist hangers used through out deck.What are your thoughts?
