Removing printing from lumber

In the course of building this project of PT wood we (helper and I) somehow put up a twelve foot length of 2 x 10 that has some printing on it such as came from the lumber yard or pressure treater. There are two runs of it, perpendicular to the length of the board, certainly non-legible but noticeable to the homeowner, and it's seven feet off grade. What, pray tell, if anything will remove this printed material from this PT wood? Thanks, David
