Reinforcing Ceiling Joists for Meat Gambrel

Hi,

I have a two car garage, attic is accessible, and I'd like to install a screw hook and hang a meat gambrel on one side to make cleaning / skinning deer easier.

I'm not a carpenter, but mechanically inclined. I'm sure I need to reinforce some of the joists above where I'd like to work, but don't know how. Please advise.

Thanks

Reinforcing Ceiling Joists for Meat Gambrel

Add solid wood blocking, the joist size, connecting 2 joists on either side of the hanger joist.
Add connecting bracing from the joists to the attic rafters above.
