Refinishing formica???

My husband made our bedroom furniture 30 years ago! It's dated now as it's white formica. Is there any way the formica can be painted or refinished? Any ideas are appreciated!

Refinishing formica???

Yes, you can paint laminate surfaces (Formica, etc.). Check at a good paint store, not a big-box place, for the right kind of paint to use. There is a special paint for the job. My aunt painted her kitchen countertops and it turned out very nice, and it seems to be durable too.
