plywood counters

I would like to see if i can get some advice on some countertops that will be for my wifes craft room and also a computer workspace.

I was already planning on installing the speed brace system but was wondering what type of plywood to purchase and what kind of polyurethane to get (durable).

Also how to finish the edges of the wood. Is it just flat molding nailed and glued?

I would use laminate, very durable for that type of application.

Flush doors make a good countertop-light, stable, inexpensive and the edges are already finished. Use water base poly.
