Patio roof

I'm building a roof over my patio which will be 16w x 22L. Without a special order, the longest 2 x 6 board is 16. What is the easiest, lightest and safest way to reach this length? It is a free standing roof next to a house. I plan to shingle it as well. Thanks

Truss with a truss plate in the middle joining two 11' boards.

First, where do you live?
How are you building this?
Any over sight from someone experienced?
What supports the roof?
What's the frostline?
From the post and the use of 2x6's to span the length, you don't have any framing experience.
