OSB dresser

I'd like to build a super simple dresser for my sons garage/construction themed bedroom. OSB would fit with the theme perfect but I'd like it to be smooth with no chance of splinters. What do you guys suggest I do?

I don't have the answer to your question. But a few years ago, a co-worker bought a simple chest of drawers (probably from Big Lots), painted it glossy tool box red and put a Snap-On badge on it. Looked great.

As far as sheet goods, I could see incorporating fir plywood, or something along that line, if you're going for that "rugged" look, or maybe a sanded plywood with rough sawed cedar corners, but I cannot envisison a place for OSB. You cannot edge nail it, and even fitting it into dados for end panels would take it out of the "super simple" scope.

OSB is not what you would ever want to use.
Will not hold screws, will be full of splinters, does not paint or stain well.

and it off-gasses and smells like sh*t.

if want something cool, just build one out of regular birch cabinet plywood (or oak) and cover in diamond plate....go extra expensive and cool and get the face frame cutout in the diamond plate too.
