odd shape door opening

the door opening is not quite a rounded at the top, just at the corners but we would like to have a door installed. so where do I go for something like this, Lowes Home Depot or a custom shop or try to do it ourself?

I say do it yourself - why not? :D

If you buy a solid wood door, however, with a little bit of work and time you can modify it to fit without the cost of paying excessively for a complete custom door.

If you can--post a picture--

Do you want a door and frame with a rounded corner?

If not---That opening could be made square again---the rounded corners are, most likely, added to a standard opening as a decorative feature--

Post a picture. Most often it's faster and easer to just remove the whole door frame and all and just install a new prehung door as a unit.

But so boring!

Go for the arched door - it'll be cool, unique and well worth the effort.

No door frame or even doors are perfectly 100% square. You have to create square. You either have to get a pre-hung doors or cut the door to fit the frame. In some cases you may also have to modify the frame slightly with shims and what not.
