New wood flooring over old wood flooring

I've installed a fair amount wood flooring but never over an existing wood floor. This would be 3/4", glue down over an old 3/4" nail down. Am I asking for trouble?

One level of floor squeaks isn't enough? I think it's an ill advised project.

Thanks Ben,
Was just fishing/hoping for an idea that would help me avoid tearing out the old.
Will have to install 3/4" ply to raise subfloor to match some old added areas of the house. Oh well.
