Mono Truss

I'm adding mono trusses all the way around a two storey house for looks only. I'm using them as a way to break up the height. I'm not sure what is the best way to build them or fasten them to the wall. I've attached an elevation of the house and my draft drawing. I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

I think you would lag bolt two ledgers to the building where the top and bottom chord of the truss make contact. Then you are free to use joist hangers and screws/nails. Not sure if this is the correct method, but it is how I would do it.

Contact your local Building Department before building these add-on to your house framing. They may require each framed and side sheathed with plywood, engineered ledger attachment design, etc. Nice for the paper trail for your Hopmeowners Insurance at a later leak or claim...
