mobile home floor repair

Need to replace floor under toilet in a mobile home. Unfortunately I need someone licensed to work on mobile homes!
Or I need detailed instructions to do it myself. See a lot of videos on utube, but none with any sound, or explanation, cautions, etc.

How different is it from a floor in a house? There are supports under the flooring material that hold up the subfloor. On top of that, you have the finished floor.
Can you take pictures of the floor? Try to get under the mobile home if you can.

I've had to deal with this. The floor is particle board, and as you know it turns to mush when it gets wet.

A lot of folks will just replace the whole floor with plywood. Just go around the edge with a skill saw set to the depth of the particle board and yank it up. You can also just do an area around the damaged spot. Just be sure to support the plywood patch you put in to replace it.

I wouldn't go under the house... there's nothing to be gained there. You can see where the joists are when you pull up the vinyl, carpet, whatever. When you cut into the "bottom board" (the plastic like stuff under the trailer), you'll have a hell of a time closing it back up... duct tape won't do it.
