Metal studs

How do you install wall cabinets to metal studs? Are they strong enough to hold them without adding some sort of support?

Are these structural metal studs or the light guage metal variety used in basements and partition walls?

I'm not sure. They were used in the basement on the exterior and interior walls. They are now covered with drywall, but if I remember correctly, they seem to be somewhat flexible.

I'd reinforce the wall before I hung any cabinets.
I'd provide blocking where the cabinets were being screwed to the wall, top and bottom. And replace the sheetrock behind the cabinets with 1/2" plywood, screwed into the blocking and intermediate bridging.
The plywood not be visable past the cabinets.
