Masonite solid core door slabs too narrow?

I've just removed two swing doors and installed pocket doors in their place. I changed out the original solid pine six panel swing doors (circa 1977) with Masonite roman arch solid core doors.

The original door slabs replaced measured 2.0 (24 inch) and 2.8 (32 inch) exactly. The Masonite door slabs measured 23 3/4 and 31 5/8. Is that normal for replacement slabs to not be the actual stated size?

It didn't cause too much of a problem since the new doors fit the pocket door opening without gap. I'm thinking of replacing other swing door slabs in the original frame, but that won't work if the new door slabs are significantly narrower.

Any advice or information is appreciated.

PS: I new to the forum, but got very useful information on header spans from DIY Chatroom when I started my pocket door project. Thanks for sharing!

VR,
Alan

Masonite rep responds

Interesting response from Masonite. I guess I'll use Reliabuilt door slabs from L**** since they are exact sizes.

Lowes is the devil.
Casual use of the asterisk is a 15 yard penalty.
