Making some wood work using 2 1/4" hardwood flooring planks
I am having new hardwood flooring put on but after the contractor put on about 80sq-ft of area my wife doesn't like the color. So we have the contractor rip those flooring out and replace with another color flooring. So now on my hands I have ~100 sq-ft of 5/8" thick, 2 1/4" wide oak flooring planks. I am figuring that I might be able to build something from them. Any ideas and suggestions?

Don't make anything for your wife, because she isn't going to like the color.

Nice kiln dried hardwood like that makes excellent kindling for a fireplace. The finish gives it extra firepower.

How about an inlaid cutting board for the kitchen counter?
And they should look great as cabinet door panels. |
