Low Profile Deck Curves

IM looking to do a low profile deck that has a simple curve shape to it. I understand how to use the cantilever to cut out the curve. My dilema is that i want to use the beams to hang the joists on so its as low as possible. The beams will be sitting on the footings.

A curved beam?
I don't know the answer to this but it is a very interesting question. I'm going to stay tuned.

what i have in my head is to box frame as close to the curve as possible and then add the appropriate framing for the curve to that. Another option i guess could be to use 4x4's as beams that sit on the footings. Then cantilever over the 4x4's with 2x6 joists to come to a height of roughly about 12".

How big is this deck?
How much room do you have from decking to dirt?
