Loose Aluminum Siding

The aluminum siding on the back of my house is not attached at the bottom of a couple rows. I was getting ready to pressure wash and repaint, thought this should probably be repaired before I go spraying it! Any ideas on how I can reattach?

The bottom of each row is supposed to lock into the top of the row below. You should be able to pull down gently with the palm of the hand and then push it up to lock into the bottom row. If something was not properly installed originally, this may not work, or it won't stay for long. Try that first.

Loose Aluminum Siding

Thanks for your input. I have tried to "snap" it back into the the next row below it and it won't stay. The piece that is loose is on a two story house and it is about 5ft up from the ground. It seems like the bottom ridge that is supposed to hook into the top of the piece below it is bent out and won't hook. If I have to replace a few sections, will this require resetting the whole back of the house? Or can I just put some silicone caulk on the loose pieces? Thanks!

Is it possible to just squeeze some PL Construction Adhesive (or any liquid nails type product) under the area, then lean something heavy against it for a day? That could be a fix until you decide to re-side.
