Kitchen Counter Top

Hi Everyone
Forgive my silly question, but when cutting a Formica kitchen countertop with backsplash, do you cut it with the laminate side up?

thanks

if you are using a circular saw you cut with the good side down.

Still not a bad idea to put some masking tape on the laminate side just in case you happen to hit a section that tries to delaminate. And use the correct saw blade.
