any decent plumber or electrician will center their pipes in the wall cavity, if their stupid enough to run their lines within 3/4" from the edge of the framing their the ones who are at fault if your using the correct size fastener. ive run hundreds of thousands of feet of base and never had such an issue

Not all remodel/new work is up to code. I hit a copper water supply line once, years ago, because I only had 2-1/2" nails on hand. 5 minutes later it leaked, no nail plate, between studs. I since always check for water lines with a #6 ground cable "witching" to locate/mark locations to avoid this problem...

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
