How to match wood patterns?

I have a solid wood bookshelf that had some drywood termite damages on one of the panels. After treatment I cleaned up all the loose wood fibers and filled the voids with wood filler.

Now the rest of the shelf is stained with really dark wood stain so it shows a faint wood pattern. The area that's patched with wood filler is just cream color. If I apply the same wood stain it wouldn't look right.

Is there any way to make this "patch" less noticeable?

Not likly, a picture sure would be nice.
Wood filler is not real wood so it's going to absorb stain differantly.
Not even two differant woods will stain out the same.
