how to do crown molding on a faulted or angled ceiling

I wish to put crown molding in our bedroom and would like to know how to cut for the sloped ceiling.

Mike,
When I started installing crown I bought a book called
Compound MITER.COM (I believe this is their web site). I bought my book at Home Depot. It's a 'tell all' about any kind of ceiling you may want to install crown on. It also details your exact question in depth with pictures.

I think Nascar9 is right on this one, since we can't be there to walk you through it. We would have to know the angle of the ceiling and then decide the best way to cut it as there is more than one way to cut a compound miter.

There are several videos on youtube showing how to install ceiling mold on a vault.

You need to follow the slope of the ceiling.

If your ceiling isn't level, you can do what I did, which turned out looking pretty well. I bent the crown a little, and I removed a hair of material, and I used some caulk. If you stood and looked at it you could see it, but if you just walked into the room you wouldn't notice.
