Help - trying to find shelving hardware
I'm trying to find these shelving brackets (see attached image) that I bought about 15 year ago.
they come as a kit with the vertical slotted metal that are screwed to the 2x4 vertical supports, along with metal ends that screw to the horizontal 2x4s that fit in the slots of the vertical supports.
I used to have the small manual that came with them but can't find it anymore, so I have not been able to find out the manufacturers name so as to buy more.
I bought these at Menards in Waterloo, Iowa. In my opinion they are simply fantastic. I build probably 10 shelves for the basement and garage. When moving out of Iowa I left most of them there (I really regret that now).
I have for over a year now been looking in home improvement (Lowes, Home Depot) and hardware stores (Ace, True Value, Do It) around the midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri).
Has anyone seen these before? Do you now the manufacturer of them?
You would make my day / year if you do you.
Karl, I've looked online at my usual hardware "go-to" sites, but can't find brackets like those.
I live near Waterloo and could look next time I'm at the Menard's store to see if they still carry them if that would help.
I did a quick search @ McMaster-Carr, with no results. I could only suggest that you look at each piece of shelving material you do have to see IF MAYBE the manufacturer stamped their name into the metal. This may be your lucky day and you will find something. Good Luck, David
Thank so much for the quick reply!!!
I checked at the Menards there by Red Lobster and talked with several people and they didn't know what I was talking about.
If you happen to be there and have the extra minute, that would be great maybe something has changed since them. I like them so well I would drive back up and grab at least 6 sets.
Thank you for looking as well - I really appreciate the time you took.
>> the manufacturer stamped their name into the meta
Fantastic idea, I did, bot no luck. Its completely smooth. I don't understand why you would make something and not put your name on it.
So frustrating why something so simple is so hard to find.
Thank you guys for your reply and help!!!!
