Help with contract dimensions
I recently had a shed built on my property. It's a 12X20. I am looking for opinions on what an 8X6 divider walls dimensions are. If a main room divider is placed and the 8X6 divider wall will be used to make 2 smaller rooms, is the 8 the length or the 6? I'm really looking for a trade standard.
I'm having a dispute with a contractor over what I asked for, what the contract stated, and what I got. I appreciate any help good or bad. Thanks! |
I think it depends on what the plan was, how it was detailed in advanced, IE scope of work, simple printed plan for the shed. If none of this has been written down, then no real hard fast rule, IMO.

If the ceiling height was 8', then I would have given you a wall floor to ceiling (8') and 6 feet in width. If it were to be 6 feet tall and 8 feet wide, it would be an unsupported partition.
