Header for O/H Door in Shed

I am building an 8X12 shed (live in central NJ); 7.5/12 roof; 2X4 rafters and joists.
At one end (the 8 ft side), I plan to install a 5ft wide and 6 ft tall overhead door.
Please advise:
1. Size of the header;
2. Size of ridge board I should use.
Thank you.

For a shed I would go with 2x6 Ridge and 2x6 Header, if you are running a double top plate then you can cut the lower top plate to accommodate the 2x6 header if the height is compromised. Roof and wall sheathing go with 1/2" BOB.

Bob's right. There is very little structural load in a shed that small. 2x6 will cover everything. 7/16" OSB or plywood will be just fine for walls and roof sheathing.
