HD pre cut counter tops

My kitchen counter tops are pretty awful. Grungy looking. I won't be replacing the Formica cabinets any time within the next few yrs. Maybe never. So I've decided to get new countertops since the cabinets area is small it won't cost much.

At HD, in the back, I saw precut counters, with the angle for the corner. They're affordable but I wonder about the durability. I don't want to waste money if they won't hold up. I also don't want to put a more valuable counter on Formica cabinets.

Thanks for any opinions.

I've never had any problems with them.
Same as any counter top, do not set something hot on them.

Have had one of them in my laundry room for 11 years now with no issues.

check MENARDS. they have those tops, but IMO much nicer patterns. there is one that looks a lot like nice granite.

Make sure "your" inside corner really is 90 deg before you buy.

They work. I have used them a few times. You may need to add some ledge strips to the wall to increase the support. This depends on what you find when you pull the old counter top. This tends to be more necessary with corner cabinets and not so much with blind bases.

There is no such thing. Close is the best you will ever do and for the the rest there is caulk.

If your Kitchen corner is not 90 Deg e.g. 92 Deg, then HD has no obligation to give any refund. The advice to check your existing corner was good.

There are a lot of counter top companies that supply tops and will come out and measure for you and install. Free quotes. There is more to it then if the corner is out (it is out, they all are) you get what you pay for with HD. I find the tops are warped a bit so the 90s do not line up properly.
