Default Hardy Board dye lots

My contractor says he didn't order enought HB for my house, after 2 weeks into the job, he said no problem its a standard color and can get more in time, I was thinking, isn't their dye lots that make even standard colors vary in shade from lot to lot? feedback?????

If there is a shading difference, you might be able to isolate the new batch to a place it will not be of notice. It really depends on the house layout and how short he is.
