Hardwood Floors
Hi guys, trying to get recommendations on hard wood floors. I like the white oak floors, and would like them prefinshed. Any good brands or websites where to purchase from? Don't like what I see at the HD. Thanks, 3/4 min.
Also how good is engineered hardwood floors? Trying to find out whats better, solid or engineered? Thanks Last edited by helpless handyman; 03-02-2007 at 04:39 PM. |

Hardwood Floors
In general engineered flooring is a little bit harder to install and more expensive than standard 3/4 solid hardwood flooring. On the plus side it's fairly stable and not as prone to expansion and contraction. That's a pretty general statement but other than that there's not much difference. As for where to get it I think your local flooring center is your best bet. That way you can borrow some of there samples to see how it looks with the colors you have in your home.
GOOD LUCK |
