Gutter installation
Hello everyone,
I just joined the board and love the answers that I get from the community. I am replacing the soffit and gutters behind my townhome and need an answer to a question. I am replacing the plywood soffitt with vinyl soffit and I am going to use the matching aluminum fascia to top it off. I am going to have the gutter guy come out in the future and install 6" gutters. The gutter guy asked me if I wanted him to remove the 1 x 2 furring strip behind the eve drip metal and put the gutters under the drip edge. He states that it would be better to have the gutters tucked under. I want a second opinion, LOL Now my question is what would be better for the house? I live in Florida and we get heavy downpours. If it is better to remove the furring strip, I will run the fascia all the way up under the drip edge as well as the gutters. Thanks In Advance, Dan |
