I have a coffee table that has a veneer problem. Due to the lack of humidity where I live, a small section has separated & raised slightly. I think I can get some wood glue underneath. My question is, what can I use between the clamp and the veneer itself that doesn't stick? I'm thinking maybe parchment paper (the cooking kind, which is impregnated with silicone). Any thoughts on that or maybe something else? Thanks!
i'd use some glue, push it to spread, wipe off excess with damp rag, then wax paper or parchment, then a block of soft wood, THEN the clamp(s). (you don't want the clamp to leave an imprint.)
