Framing Wall Over Garage Door

We are converting our garage into a living space. We tried to google this but did not really find much. Does anyone have a link on how to DIY this or some tips for doing this? Thanks

not sure I'm following your comment, are you trying to frame a second floor wall over the garage door?

There's hundreds if not more discussions on this site and just about any DIY site on converting garages to living space.
First thing you need to do is post some pictures. There no two alike.
Post exactly what type living space you expect this to be.
What size is it?

Agreed. Use the search engine to see what has been posted before.

You are going to need to check with your building department before anything else. Are you bound by any neighborhood or historic association rules that will keep you from doing this? You will need to navigate that early on.

It is highly probable that your existing garage slab foundation is not going to be sufficient for a new story, just to start. You are going to need drawings and stamps. And there will be all kinds of code things.

I think what's confusing it your header.
"framing a wall over a garage door"
Over could mean several things.
If this is a single story garage the door needs to go so a wall can be built in the old opening, siding redone, there should be at least one row of block at the bottom of the wall so water does not come in.
To do it right it's best to cut out and get rid of the old apron.
Going to have to come up with a plan to address the sloop in the floor if there is one.

Sorry everyone!!! I am looking to build a wall to cover the inside of the garage door as the space(garage) is now going to be a den.
