Formica countertop cutting

Hi
What is the best way to cut a piece of Formica countertop to fit. Should I use a sharp knife to score it or should I use my table saw to cut it? Thanks.

Are you cutting just the Formica or the finished counter top?

router on finished counter. NOt finished i would try a utility knife and snapping it.

You put the edge piece on first. Rough cut it oversize 1/8" or so by scoring and breaking. Contact cement it on. Clean up the edges with a router with a bottom bearing straight cut bit. Then glue the roughcut slightly oversize top laminate down and router again.
