IKEA uses these bolts; one looks conventional but has a very flat, large head. The other looks like a bolt but actually presents a tube [with female threads inside] to the other bolt.
Jandorff may sell these but I don't know the name of this type of fastener.
Can anyone help?
I want to use them to fasten 1x2s together at their intersections.

Talk about quick turnaround!!!

With these things you could use 1x2s or even 1x2s ripped to 1x1s to make almost any shelfing structure.

You da' Man!

You are welcome. Those bolts would be good if you decide to take the unit apart for shipping. For a permanent joint use pocket screws, quicker and less expensive.

You can buy these at Lee Valley where they're called "Quick Connect Hardware".

"Quick Connect Hardware" - that's a new one on me.

I wonder if all these different names are used to avoid trademark infringement.

And a shovel is a soil-working implement.
