facia repair and gutter
How you guys suggest replacing facia with seamless gutter on it? I mean what do you do with the gutter to get the facia board? Have a helper hold it while you replace the board? I'm guessing this may depend on how long the board being replaced is.
Get some help and take the whole gutter down, Replace facia, check drip edge(the facia is being replaced for some reason) Reinstall gutter.
Prime and paint facia before installing:whistling2:
You would need to get up to the roof. Lift up 1 or several areas of the roof tile and temporarily put in a 3" Galvanized roof tack(s) and attach a 'connector' like a lenthg of 'rope' or twine. Do this in correspondence to the area of fascia you need to replace. Run the 'rope' or twine long and over the edge of the roof eave.
Next, you will need to have a helper, so you can disconnect the gutter area that is in the way. Also, disconnect additional lengths to give it 'flexibility', to move it out of the way. As you disconnect each area, tie the rope to it, to support it, out of the way. You can even temporarily attach a 'spacer' to push the gutter away from the fascia to allow a work space. I would also suggest that you use masking tape to keep the rope at the area of the gutter that your tied it around, so it won't slide.
All this is assuming that it is NOT a large area of gutter.
When you are done with your repairs. Have one person go back up to the roof and slowly pull the rope up to re-align the gutter as the 2nd person replaces the connectors one set at a time.
Remember to attach in the same places the gutter was in before, to keep your pitch right.
