Exterior Drive Gates

I have built a wood fence around my property- pressure treated 4x4's, 4 foot on center with 3/4" p.t. dog-earred fence boards. I now need to build two 6' sections and a 3' section for the gates. I cemented three 4x4 metal posts in the ground and hung 2x2 square tubing framework for the gates. I used heavy duty ball-bearing hinges and welded those to the posts. I plan on using 2x6 or 2x8 material for the double drive-thru gates and the same or even the 1x dog-ear for the walk gate, which is attached to one of the two metal posts- opposite the drive thru. I am not quite sure what type of wood to use for the drive- thru gates. Cedar, Cypress, ???. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Either one would look great and last a long time. Are you going to have automatic gate openers? If so stay away from GTO & Mighty Mule.

I may go home hungry, but not tired and hungry.
