Existing wall insulation

Have a cabin in upper Michigan I would like to add wall insulation. I hope not to pull off all the siding but to add blown in insulation. Can any one suggest the best cost efficient way

What type of siding? What type of existing insulation? Is there a vapor barrier? What is the interior finish wall material? How old is the house? Are you familiar with building practices(do you know where studs/headers are)? Is it standard framing, a box with a roof, or is it cut up with multiple levels/ half levels/ roofs intersecting with walls?

2X4 walls 16 inch centers vinyl siding. Built in the 40's remolded since. Fiberglass or no insulation now. Doubtful of vapor barrier

I hired a crew to blow in cellulose into the walls of my house. Very cost effective. I don't think you can easily find a powerful enough blower for cellulose into walls at the usual suspect big box stores, probably more cost effective to hire someone with the right equipment to do it. They will know all about how to cut the holes and patch.
