I need to erect a partition wall in an old supermarket that is being converted into another store The owner has requested that I do the work, however I am a flooring contractor and need some help on what best to use- They have requested metal studs but what size studs to use and what should be the proper guage
This sounds like a commercial job for which I assume you are getting paid. This is a DIY site, you probably should check out the contractor side of things. It also sounds like you need a design for the project, so maybe you need an architect? Or at least plans from the owner.
I agree with the above. You also need a permit to convert to double occupancy. This would include the electrical, fire-wall and possible egress required.

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
