Enhancing redwood panelling


My kitchen has redwood siding that is in quite a good shape but still needs enhancing. Is it enough to just sand it and then refinish?

Enhancing redwood panelling


If it's still in a good shape, sanding and refinishing should be enough
(but don’t forget to clean it first).
But in some cases it is better to use a chemical stripper first in order to
strip the panelling from its finish, then sand and refinish it. It depends
on how old your panelling is and how much effort you are ready to put into
repairing it.
