I hope this is the right forum. We replaced an old wooden exterior door with a 9 light fiberglass one. I'm now doing the finishing touches which includes putting in the screw covers to hide the screw heads in the window molding. I've followed the directions - or I think I have - but obviously I'm not getting it. I did get two in correctly - they practically jump into place and the covered totally blended with the molding as it should. I haven't been able to duplicate that success on the other. I've been fumbling with those dopy little bits of plastic for about 20 minutes with no success except for the two. In frustration I tried tapping them in with a little hammer (end covered with tape) - I can get them in but they just won't go flush.
I hate those things too... I just use my thumb and 'feel' for the flush as it goes in. I can USUALLY get them in right, but if not, they WILL turn once in, with a little coaxing, using a rounded edge of 'something' to tap lightly on the higher part to get them to rotate a wee bit.
Also, there's no such thing as a dumb question, just dumb answers.... Po)
