Door "S-Belly"

Happy Holiday, Y'all..

Five days ago I installed a JeldWen 6 panel molded no-bore door from HD in a pocket frame, and now it has developed a "belly" right in the middle of the door... actually the door has warped into the shape of an S, and rubs the frame on both sides.... it was fine when it was hung. What could have caused this? Is this common? Is it because it was hung on rollers at the top? Just called HD and the doorguy said to bring it back for an exchange but I am scared to try another like it... is it just a "bad apple" like the HD guy says?

Did you ibstall it adjacent to a bathroom and did you paint it?

All doors need to be at minimum primed on all edges/sides, paint would be nicer to get a better seal. For a pocket door this must be done before install as you lose access to all but one edge once installed.

That will happen if it has not been painted?

The house doesn't even have all the sheetrock done... so there was no moisture... ???

Well, that's a different story...usually pocket doors are installed later, just the frame prior to sheetrock. Still, prime and paint the edges before you install as you will lose access afterwards. Sounds like a just a bad door, it happens, take it back, HD takes everything back

Take the door back (2nd vote), but check around the house for "door gremlins", just to be sure....
