Door Locks

I have some inexpensive (okay, cheap) hardware on my entry doors. I know I'll have to replace, but will I have to re-key or how do I change hardware but keep the same keys?

If you want to keep the same keys, have a locksmith change out the cylinders. If you have a brand name door lock it can be done.
You can also go to Home Depot. They can do some of them.
Or bite the bullet and get all new hardware with the keys all keyed alike.
Again, they can do that at the store you buy them from. Good luck.

Many brands can be cross keyed to other brands, but not all. Ask if the brand you intend to purchase can be keyed to the brand of your existing keys before you buy them.

Replace then all at once to avoid the expense of cylinders keys and a locksmith.
