Door handle on a gate

Yes, that's an issue and I was kind of worried about that. I didn't see any handles that were intended for weather exposure specifically.

Sometimes more expensive door handles, faucets, etc are simply more "designer" and not necessarily longer lasting. So I was planning on going with this one.

This one won't fly price-wise

If I could find one of these locally I'd probably get it, what do you think?

I'd use the Schlage. You could put a light bead of sealant around the edge of the escutcheon to keep water from getting behind it. Otherwise the only thing you can do is keep everything lubricated well. $111.00 for a Schlage F51 lock is crazy. The other one for $37.73 is an F51 chassis too. The only difference is the Orbit 613 vs. Georgian 622, (knob design and the base finish). The mechanical parts are the same.
