Deck coverings

Need information on how to waterproof a 8x12 foot upper deck---I want to use the under area for storage--it's covered with 2x6s with spacing between-- Can I caulk between the 2x6s and use marine grade 1/4 in. plywd with some sort of fiberglass overlay? I would use quad caulking for all seems. This deck gets very little use. Thanks

There are systems available that you can mount under the deck platform. I can't think of a manufacture right now but I'll see what I can dig up for you.

I would agree with ARI001, there are systems available. The ones that I have seen look like corrugated metal and channels the water away from the area. If it was too expensive plywood and caulk should work too. You just don't want water to sit between the joists and be held by the plywood.
