What is the best way to cut kitchen counters in place for the installation of a dishwasher?

I'm guessing that the flooring is too high, I see this often. You may have to remove the screws holding down the edge of the countertop and lift it slightly to get the dishwasher in place. Let us know more if this doesn't work.

Remodeling

Sorry, my mistake in terms. It is the cabinet I need to cut. The kitchen has no dishwasher, so I am removing two rows of drawers to make room. If it makes it any easier, I would think it would, I will be replacing the counter tops as well.

The two drawer banks should be a seperate piece (or pieces) from the rest. Find the screws that hold them together and remove whatever needs to be removed to get the drawers out.

EDIT: OK, maybe that's wishful thinking. I guess I should say, IF YOU'RE LUCKY, the two drawer banks are seperate from the others. If they're not, just try to cut on the drawer side of the board between the two cabinets (or in your case between the cabinet and the drawer bank). Try to cut it flush with that board.

All you should have to do is remove one cabinet. It should be screwed to the cabinets on eitherside and possibly to the countertop itself. No need to replace the counter top to install the dishwasher. Once the cabinet is removed you can then disassemble the cabinet to be able to use the two side styles as fillers.
