Cutting Corian

We have a Corian counter with a drop in cooktop and slide in oven. We are replacing these with a freestanding range. We need to create a 30" open space for the new range. What do we need to do to cut the countertop? We need to do this by 4/12/10!

Cutting Corian

a saw with a carbide blade or a router with a carbide bit. Only requirement for cutting corian is the carbide cutting edge.

Cutting Corian

In order to make the cut all the way to the wall, you'll need to move the counter away from the wall. Left in place. a standard 7 1/4" saw will only get you within 4 or 5" from the end. A trimmer router maybe 2".

Using one of these you can probably cut all the way to the wall. They are very handy to have around for general home improvement. They will do a lot that regular saws will not do. Available from other manufactures if you desire a better quality tool. Bosch and Dremel have one as well as Fein for the top of the heap quality.
